About WeBeWell
We catch students before crisis.
WeBeWell is a proactive, evidence-based well-being and mental health program for students. We combine app and web technology with live, facilitated peer support groups to address mental health challenges at their inception.
Who we serve
Three audiences. One evidence-based program.
Colleges and universities
Undergraduate and graduate students — reached early, alongside your counseling center, not instead of it.
Well-being for collegesGrades 6–12
Middle and high school students, through partners like the Live Like Sam Foundation and the University of Utah.
Well-being for schoolsEmployers
Employee well-being that doubles as leadership development — offered as a benefit, a leadership program, or both.
Well-being for employersOur story
Born at the University of Utah. Built on decades of well-being science.
WeBeWell began as Well-being Elevated, a student-led venture at the University of Utah. Our curriculum is drawn from positive and clinical psychology, and built on research and methodologies developed by world-renowned psychologists Drs. Ed and Carol Diener.
In the American Dream Ideas Challenge — a national social impact competition created by Eric and Wendy Schmidt — we competed through three state rounds, were named Utah’s finalist, and shared second place nationally, earning $1,000,000 in funding from Schmidt Futures.
There is a direct link between mental health, well-being and economic mobility. We aspire to help thousands of students thrive intellectually, emotionally and economically.
